Outmaze is a board game for iPhone and Android. This page says what it keeps about you, why, and how to have it deleted.
What is kept
- Your account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, the game receives an identifier for you and, if you allow it, your name and email address.
- Your name at the table. The name you choose, which other players see.
- Your games. The rooms you open, your moves and results, your rating and your game history.
- Whether you are in a game. While you have a game open, so the other players see that you are there.
- Server logs. Failed and slow requests, kept for a short time to find and fix problems.
Games against the computer and games passed around one phone stay on the phone. Your settings, such as sound and language, are kept on the phone too.
What is not done
No advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Who else is involved
- Apple or Google, when you sign in with them.
- The hosting provider that runs the game's server and database.
- Google Fonts: the app downloads its typeface from Google's servers, which see your IP address.
What other players see
Your chosen name, your moves, your rating in rated games, and whether you have your games open.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Profile and choose Delete account. Your account, name, rating and history are deleted at once, and games in progress are resigned. Other players keep their own games, without your name. Database backups are kept for up to 14 days and then replaced.
Children
No personal data is knowingly collected from children under 13. If you think a child has made an account, get in touch and it will be deleted.
